Will Roomba Be Joining PackBot in Battle?

We know that iRobot's deeply involved in US military operations through its PackBot, but what can the robot company's robotic vacuum cleaner, the Roomba, do to help?

Clean of course!

This is no robovac war we're talking about, so it may appear that Roomba is way out of its league when joining the military. However, if its mission is simply to do what it does best, then there should be no problem with that.

Military Times recently shared that some Roombas and Scoobas are keeping the floors of the USS Freedom and the Independence spick and span. Looks like the floor is shining in the pic, so the robots should be doing an excellent job there.

While the Roombas attack the dust, the Scoobas take care of the dirt and grime. These robots can handle floor chores all by themselves, so the crew can perform other tasks.

Who knows? One of these days those Scoobas and Roombas might get the chance to be reunited with their battle-scarred cousins, the PackBots.
