I am using a broadband wifi router.
Signal strength on Dx app is one dot + 2 bar on my D5.
My wifi router is on the main floor at one end of my house. D5 is on the second floor at the opposite end of my house.

Re: D3/D5/D7 signal strength on wifi, and isssues in the fut
I don't have wifi issue with my Botvac Connected, D3 and D5 in my house. I didn't have any issue with the D7 which I don't have it any more. It may be your wifi router issue or interference of the 2.4GHz signal around your house. Use the Wifi Analyzer app to find a channel which has less interferenc...

Re: Neato D3 Lidar Issue (Motor)
One strange think I notice on the LiDAR turret is these two blue wires are exposed here and touching. Is this normal? PXL_20210306_025721600.jpg Another forum member, three50zx, had reported the blue wires shorted together. "Only culprit I can suspect is, I had a short on the blue wires going ...

Re: Neato D3 Lidar Issue (Motor)
Don't be so quick to determine that the PWM circuit is not working. Correct me if I am wrong. The PWM system needs the distant reading feedback to adjust the rotational speed. There is no distant reading from the XY plot shown above. The PWM system is changing the rotational speed up and down to fin...

Check the dirt or hair wrapped around at motor axle under the pulley and under the plastic washer at the axle. Put a tiny drop of sewing machine oil below the plastic washer after cleaning.

Re: D5 - Reboot Me - Midway through cleaning
I fixed a D5 with reboot me error by replacing the left drop sensor.
You tested the left drop sensor is working with a good Dx series drop sensor.
Try replace the right drop censor. It may be your right drop sensor is not working.

Re: Problem with neato d7 wifi can't make connection HELP.
IIRC, I do not remember seeing any wifi antenna on all Botvac Connected models. I have a first Botvac Connected with a display panel and a Botvac D3 Connected. I repaired Botvac D5 and D7 before. If your D7 wifi is not working, you may need to replace or repair your D7 wifi daughter board. D7 wifi b...

Re: Problem with neato d7 wifi can't make connection HELP.
D7 has a wifi daughter board which connects to the flex cable connector located at the lower right hand corner of your photo. It looks like nothing is connected to it. Why? Edit: Did you disconnect the wifi daughter board on your D7? I have not seen a D7 wifi daughter board listed by itself for sale...

By the process of elimination of the RAM and flash chips, I think the U60 TI SN15095260BZCZ is the MCU.masterx81 wrote:No, no emi shields above the cpu/board.
Did you reball the U60 and fixed your D5?

Re: Neato D5, fixed info/blue light
In my case i had to do a reball of the mcu on the board. Before that I've also tried to reball ram and flash ic without success, but after the mcu reballing the unit started working correctly. Bga package failure is a common problem on modern no-lead electronics. Is the MCU covered with the metal c...

@Scapegoat
Please send my a copy of the Neato_4.4.0_72.tgz.

Thanks

Re: Neato D6 - `having trouble`
Agree with vic7747. You can charge the D connected Neato battery externally to 12v and continue to charge the battery to 100% inside the D connected Neato. I charged one D3 flat Li-ion battery and two D5 triangular Li-ion batteries this way. All 3 batteries are working. If you don't have bench charg...

Thanks @glnc222. I will check the power rails for voltages and electrolytic capacitors. There may be a chance of firmware update failed reported by @RobertABooey. But I am not able to get this D5 to connect to wifi to downgrade firmware. http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2094...

Roomba 650 starts on its own
I am working on a Roomba 650. Owner said the scheduling does not work. I took the battery out to clear its schedules. I setup the clock and one(1) schedule yesterday afternoon so that it will start a cleaning mission in 10 minutes. It started on time. But this morning, it started a cleaning mission ...

I charged the D3 battery for 2 hours yesterday and the fuel gauge was showing 50% this morning using NeatoControl. I put my D3 on my Botvac Connected charging dock. NeatoControl indicated a charger is connected. But no charging current. This is expected as we know that previous charging dock with no...

Re: Neato D3 - D7 charger
After I posted my post about my D3, I was thinking... Since there is a BMS in the D3 battery pack. Therefore, there is no danger of over charging the Li-ion battery pack and catch fire using an external charger. Ed, thank you for confirming my idea. I used one of my spare Botvac charging dock from s...
