Re: Neato Botvac D3/D4/d5/D6/D7 Li-Po-battery cell replaceme

Well, wish i saw these posts sooner. I confirm that de-soldering a BMS results in its death... and consequent bricking of the whole battery. I wish someone would perhaps prepare a tutorial on refurbing a d5 battery. I suppose there are some points on the pcb that power could be soldered onto to keep...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Out of curiosity, if you still have it, would you mind sharing the size of your RobotLogs folder on the USB drive? I'm trying to get an idea of what sizes amount to what install times. Also wondering if the cheapo stick was low capacity. My first test, my RobotLogs...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package

It works! Thanks Guys! I simply placed eyespy's file in a folder named "RobotData" on a fat32 formatted usb stick (mine has a dual connector including a micro usb so no otg adapter required) and about an hour or so later it updated :) I previously tried on a cheapo usb stick with the otg a...

Re: Botvac D5 - laser diode failed ?

ok, so I found the specs: Laser Parameters.• Wavelength 785 nm• Pulse Rep Frequency 1.8 kHz• Pulse Duration 200 usec• Peak Power 2.1 mW• Beam Diameter 2.3 mm• Beam Divergence -1.5 mrad The beam divergence is a lot different from the older Neato models, hence why the older diodes aren't compatible. N...

Re: Botvac D5 - laser diode failed ?

You can buy the laser diode from eBay. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=neato+laser+diode&_sacat=0 Well, some of the ebay listing specifically state that it is not for the D5 and D3. The others look like the same item, without the warning. Hence why I was...

Botvac D5 - laser diode failed ?

Hi, one of my Neato D5 started coming up with error 4000. After spending most of the day disassembling it and its brother, it appears that the laser diode had failed (when I swap it over it works) Anyone know of its specs (wavelength and power) or where I can purchase the diode alone?
