Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Yep, I definitely know it exists. As I mentioned above, I have a D6 that is on 4.6.0 and cannot factory reset to any lower. I got the bot about 6 months ago, and I think it came with 4.6. There are no release notes for 4.6.0 for any of the Neato bots. The Vorwerk notes for it say it fixes "disc...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Hooray! Glad it worked out for you. I don't know much about the Vorwerk update (other than the cert file works with Neato). You should be able to update to it but you will not be able to use the Neato app to control and schedule your bot. It will not register with Neato Cloud with the Vorwerk firmwa...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
I'm not sure what you mean about it taking 15 seconds and ending before wifi. The bot should be fully booted up before you attach the USB drive. We only have so many levers to move. If it won't cause you to revert to a version of firmware that you may not get back to, doing the left/front bumper fac...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
I would think that if you have filesystem activity, the stick is recognized.
The reason I suggested removing from the app is in case there is some communication with Neato Cloud that is causing the issue. I was going to suggest a full left/front bumper factory reset as well.

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Glad to hear it! It is definitely a “stand on one foot” process. It’s difficult to tell what works and what doesn’t because something changes and it works but never sure if the change made it work. I’ll add doing it on the charger to the troubleshooting steps. Thanks for the report!

Have you tried the update while removed from WiFi and while removed from app?

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Yep. The fact that the app shows that it detects USB, but if the bot is not creating a RobotLogs folder on the stick, and not moving/decrypting the firmware file, it seems like it might be unable to read the filesystem. Doesn't necessarily point to the filesystem format, but could be. I've seen some...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Sounds like you have tried just about everything. You can try NTFS. As mentioned, I don't think it matters, but can't hurt. I'd go with the 4GB USB 2. "Copying files" usually means copying the log files to the stick, so five seconds would be correct for a clean bot filesystem. The fact tha...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
created a file RobotData and inserted the 3 files from the download. Going to try another drive. Any other suggestions? Try just dropping the tgz in the RobotData folder. You should not need to decompress although it may not matter. 15 minutes of alternating green/blue and beep is about what I woul...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Yeah, I don't think it really matters. You should not be hitting any FAT32 filesystem limits, and the Neatos of this age appear to be able to mount either filesystem without a problem. Can always try the other in troubleshooting if it doesn't work the first time.

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Pretty sure it moves the files, at least when successful. It may be copying all then delete. My last test was under 25Mb in total. I believe it also decrypts the fw file and puts it in the log directory. I believe it is the one that is around 25MB. Strangely, on mine it is named 4.6.3 something. Not...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Out of curiosity, if you still have it, would you mind sharing the size of your RobotLogs folder on the USB drive? I'm trying to get an idea of what sizes amount to what install times. Also wondering if the cheapo stick was low capacity. My first test, my RobotLogs ...

Re: VR300 firmware download... Neato..
Cross-linking to http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=23185 where 4.5.3-189 is posted. The crt file appears portable between VR300 and Neato packages, so my link there should work fine as an OTG update without any modifications. It still like for someone to confirm that it works...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
I took crunchtime2k's file and replaced the crt in it with one from the most recent official Vorwerk firmware download. I noticed they have identical key identifiers, which means that the developers are just renewing their signing cert with the same CSR over and over. https://www.dropbox.com/s/68zjv...

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
Also desperate for this. I did a reset for a battery change on a D3 and reverted to 3.0 without realizing I could not update again, so have no no-go lines now.

Re: Errors after battery replacement
Just to close the book on this: I ended up getting another working unit. The board that I received from casion187 was good. Part #905-0249 is also known as a D02, but is labeled only as "Botvac Connected" with no D designation. Turns out that following my original battery replacement I pro...

Re: Errors after battery replacement
Thanks. I tried a board from casino187 and had the same thing. He is a very reputable seller, so I must just be missing something. Can anyone confirm that the bare board connected only to the battery should power on an be accessible via Toolio? glnc222 above indicated that there is no functional rel...

Re: Errors after battery replacement
Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I got my second "refurb" board. This one came with the board side battery connector ripped off and the battery pins bent. It had the same light sequence, only it got about 500ms further into it - enough to power about half of the power-on tone before d...

Re: Errors after battery replacement
FWIW, the LED sequence is actually bright (10s), dim (4s), off (1s), dim (1s), flicker/off/reboot. This loops continuously with no sound and no screen. What does it mean?

Re: Errors after battery replacement
Thanks for that. It's a lithium battery. I have three - the original from the unit, and two seemingly identical replacements. This Botvac Connected does not have red and green rings. All the LEDs are white. There are two surrounding a spot clean button, and two surrounding a whole home clean button....
