Re: Server Migration in progress
Kudos to you for taking the time to revamp the site and bring it back to life. Having been denied login access on Firefox for the longest time, I'm glad I made the decision to leave this website on my list of "automatically open" when starting Firefox. It was really a pleasant surprise to ...

Re: Given up on Neato
I'll be damned... after not providing any updates to the D7 compatible app for several YEARS, a fresh update was released within the past week that makes the D7 app compatible with newer versions of Android. That is music to the ears of my D7's new owner (who owns a newer phone and was previously un...

Given up on Neato
Let me say I've been a Neato customer since my first XV-11. I have owned several models culminating with the D7 which is still running strong and reliably. Unfortunately, Neato has chosen to allow the Neato Android app go unmodified and it is no longer compatible with newer versions of Android OS. F...

Re: any Roborock fans on here
I bought the S7 Max V Ultra last week to replace my Neato D7 (Neato's D7 app doesn't install on my new Android phone). Very impressed so far. Comments regarding the mop making carpets wet is generally false as long as the carpet is less than 5mm higher than the floor. Also since the mop sits behind ...

Re: No connection
Any possibility you're connecting your D7 to a different wifi network than the one your phone is connected to? All devices need to be on the same network (same SSID).

Re: Neato D7 Lidar not spinning
I have a D7 which works fine. My Botvac 80, which had sat idle for many months before I powered it up a while back did not have a spinning Lidar. I removed the turret cap, spun the turret manually one time, and it's worked ever since. I wonder if your D7 just needs a "nudge"?

Re: D10 owners?
I had considered upgrading from my D7 to a D10 but changed my mind when I heard the D10 does not work with magnetic strips. I have lots of strips (from my various Neatos through the years) that I've placed under carpets in strategic areas.

Re: Help ! Ghost Starting Neato Botvac D5 Connected ??
Also check if you use the IFTTT app on your phone to activate your Neato. This works independently from the Neato-supplied app.

Re: Need Neato_4.5.3_189.tgz Firmware package
I have a D7. The port is a micro-USB port, the type used by many cell phones of the generation preceding the USB-C connection. If you have a charging cable for a slightly older cell phone, you can use that. Otherwise, these cables should be easy to find at an electronics store or even a discount dol...

Re: Mag Strip Boundaries D8,9,10
You are correct - there are no physical boundaries of any kind mentioned in Roborock documentation. However, their virtual boundaries include no-go lines, room definitions and zone definitions, which can be defined for both vacuuming and mopping modes. And the scheduling app appears to be much more ...

Re: Mag Strip Boundaries D8,9,10
As discussed offline, Roborock is a separate company, whose relationship with Xiaomi is much like the relationship between Neato and Vorwerk. Roborock had initially been designing vacuums for Xiaomi, but now has created even more advanced models under its own brand.

Re: Mag Strip Boundaries D8,9,10
Though they are similar in feature set, the Xiaomi Mi is NOT THE SAME as the Roborock S7. They are two different companies. You are correct that the Xiaomi does not support no-go lines, but the Roborock does, in addition to being able to define ROOMS and ZONES. https://www.rtings.com/vacuum/tools/co...

Re: Mag Strip Boundaries D8,9,10
My D7 is good for a while. The band driving the side brush broke on it years ago. I bought a set of Nitrile bands to replace the flimsy rubber one, but didn't have the guts to try opening the unit and risking more damage, so I just do without the side brush. Eventually, when this one is no longer wo...

Re: Mag Strip Boundaries D8,9,10
That is unfortunate. I have a D7 currently. I define no-go lines so that my "daily cleanings" respect the lines, and my once weekly IFTTT cleaning ignores the no-go lines, giving my home a full vacuuming. However, there are still areas in my home that do NOT have physical barriers (like a ...

Try again with a larger capacity USB stick but repeat the cleanup procedure you tried the first time.

Re: Botvac 80 stops shortly after leaving dock and restarts
I found the problem...
The LIDAR was stuck. Just moving it with my finger unstuck it and it's working now.

Botvac 80 stops shortly after leaving dock and restarts
I'm sure this has been discussed in the forum before, but the search on this forum is ineffective unless you can guess the keywords used in previous posts. My Botvac 80 has been boxed for several years with battery disabled. I tried to use it recently. Charged the battery overnight (I *think* it's h...

Re: D10 Lidar
My guess would be this is NOT normal. Which makes me wonder whether the unit is actually fully docked. Try placing the D10 in an area somewhere near the dock and then initiate a spot clean within sight of the dock and see if the unit returns to the dock afterward, and then when it plays it's "I...
