Works 99% of the time...

Before you replace the jack, just blow really hard in there a few times, plug it in-and-out a few times and repeat.
90% of the time, this fixes it.

Have you tried charging it directly in the jack in the side? If that works blow it (the female jack) out with air (or even a good blow) and plug in and out a few times. {There are small contacts in there to sense it is plugged in that "switch off" the ...
