Can anyone tell me what is the issue with a wheel that does not think it is depressed? The left wheel has issues thinking it is not touching the ground and the Scooba will not start unless I press down on it with about 5 lbs pressure before hitting clean (I'm stuck error otherwise). Fails the test 5 also unless I press down hard. Is it the wheel or a sensor? Otherwise, the wheels feel and look identical. Thanks!
Nobody here has seen this I guess... I did take the top open and plug the battery and run test 5 without the top and no spring pressure. there was no "check tank" problem and it passed. This sounds like a mechanical problem, but I am not convinced as this is a new - no warranty - Scooba.

try to blow compressed air in the wheel assembly while tapping it few times if this doesnt work, your probably gonna have to disasemble the wheel module and remove junk on the switch (but i've never opened mine and i've also heard its pretty hard without breaking it)
There is a small magnet installed in each drive wheel that operates a reed switch that is mounted on a small circuit board next to each motor. You might check to see if the circuit board is in place and that the small round magnet is also in place.
Regarding whether the magnet pellet is still where it belongs: My recollection is, once installed there is no way the pellet can escape without unscrewing parts to release it from its cavity.
Thank you so much Gordon and Vic for your help! I discovered the little board was not installed all the way. I pushed hard and it slid down about 1/4 inch. The Scooba is now working! Yea!!!
