Almost too cheap Roombas on Ebay

Postby supradupafast » January 12th, 2013, 2:09 pm

So, i've been checking and buying cheap as-is roombas for a while on Ebay.
Today, I've fallen on these two ads, both from the same seller... He's selling a ton..

I would be careful. A number of RR posters got ripped off. Instead of getting a roomba they got something else (junk) totally unrelated. Ebay rules are you have to return wrong items to get a refund. Return shipping was very expensive.

we'll see...
I don't recommend anyone jumping on this, as it is most likely some sort of scam...
I bought one just out of curiousity.... Let's see what I do end up receiving..

That happened to me............ If you check the seller feedback you will notice that the score is built up by selling small articles of clothing not any Roombas at all. After you wind up going through the conflict resolution process at Paypal then as Mike mentioned, you will not receive a refund until you prove that you returned the original item and the seller received it.

I think that this account is being hijacked. It was selling clothing before selling Roomba.

its happen OFTEN on ebay..
the user sell lot of small junk to build good review, then make money by selling tons of big products then close its account when people realize they get scammed

I saw that listing......

Much as I liked the thought of a cheap roomba with free postage it did have scam written all over it. I thought it would be something about very expensive return postage to get a refund.

Listing has now been removed by ebay, but when I last looked they had 'sold' 210 units with 100 still available.

Doesn't look legit to me. Notice the seller deals mainly with selling short sleeve shirts to build up points.
