Series 5xx WCC on 780?

Hi, i heard, that's possible to pair a Series 5xx Wireless Command Center on a 780 with following limitation:
the Clock/Schedule things do not work.
I have tried to pair a 581 WCC on my 780 but it doesn't work.
Is there somewhere a description to do this?

It must go without any problems, the only problems is, that you must check instruction for Roomba 500 and seen, how to paired Comand center with 500 Roomba s , and then to do the same on your 700 Roomba s. Your Comand center can be paired only to one Roomba at the same time !!!

I tried it with the instruction for 500 series but it doesn't work.
The 780 switches on during pair and after that nothing happens...

I tried this one:
■Make sure Roomba's battery is fully charged.
■Unplug the Battery Charger or remove Roomba from its Home Base.
■Install three AA batteries into the Wireless Command Center.
■Hold down the left drive button while installing the fourth battery.
■Continue holding the left drive button for 3 seconds or until the days of the week lights flash in a sequence from Right to Left (Saturday to Sunday).
■Install the battery door, and place the Wireless Command Center on top of Roomba.
■Press and hold the DAY and MINUTE buttons on the Wireless Command Center for 2 seconds. The lights on the Wireless Command Center will flash to indicate the pairing has completed, and Roomba will make a two-tone beep.
■When the Wireless Command Center is powered on from now on, the lights will sequence from Left to Right until Roomba is under control.

The 500 WCC accessory will work with the 780 Roomba but it cannot be used to set the time or schedule. The Clean, Spot, and Dock buttons will work as well as the Forward, Left and Right buttons.

Distance is a factor when attempting to pair the WCC with the 780. To pair, place the WCC on top of the 780. With the Leds flashing from right to left on the WCC the 780 will turn on and light the Clean button. At that point you can lift the WCC away from the 780 and use the movement buttons as well as the Clean, Spot, and Dock.

Can you explain the whole procedure please?

With the WCC flashing its LEDs from Right to Left, place it on top of the 780 Roomba. The Roombas Clean LED will turn on after a few seconds and then the WCC LEDs will stop flashing and its Clean, Spot, and Dock LEDs will turn on. Then you can use the direction buttons to send it where you want it to go or press the Clean button to send on a cleaning run or press the Spot button to spot clean or press the Dock button to send to the dock.

The only thing that works is:
If the Roomba is switched off, i can switch it on with any button, but after that i get no additional funktion...

There is evidently something else that is causing you difficulty. Are the batteries in the WCC new ?

Hmm...
i tried it again with brand new batteries (1,55 V each) but it doesn't work
I saw the same in a german robot forum from an other 780 User which has two 780s, one 780 works with two different WCCs, the other 780 with none.
Perhaps there is a firmware change for newer ones?
Or irobot changed the pairing procedure?
