Scooba 450 stopping too soon

Postby edcba » August 13th, 2016, 11:45 pm

According to the manual Scooba 450, in the default state for a large room, is meant to operate for about 45 minutes. Our Scooba however stops in about 25 minutes and the Clean water tank seems to be only half empty. Is this a problem with the Clean Tank sensor and, if so, how can it be fixed?

What size is the area your 450 is cleaning ?

Size about 2 metres by 10 metres. Scooba does not start again after stopping--the message says it has finished.

edcba Is your 450 covered under a warranty ? If so it will be best to request a replacement or refund.

I’ve just started having this problem. Everything works completely normally except the cycle finishes after 20 mins instead of 40. Did any clues emerge as to why it might be happening?

After it stops its first cycle, I can press clean again without filling the tank and it completes a second 20 minute cycle.

Has the 450 somehow been configured for the smaller room size? Removing and replacing the battery may reset the room size options.

good call on the battery, i'll try that, thanks.
yeah the cycles are so precisely 20 minute blocks that it clearly thinks it's cleaning a smaller room, but I hadn't set it to that so I have no idea how or why it's working to the small room setting,
