I've recently gotten a 960 and think it's great. It actually finishes my large downstairs area, successfully recharging and resuming. Lights years ahead of all previous models, most of which I've owned at one point.
Love the scheduling and want to run the roomba every night for pet hair while the family sleeps. The one problem with this is the loud beeping tones for starting and stopping are loud enough to wake my wife who is a light sleeper. Is there a quiet mode where it does not do this?

One could open their Roomba and disconnect the speaker. Many deaf, hearing impaired and light sleepers prefer no beeping sound. vic7767 has pictures on how to open the unit. I believe the post is "980 impressions so far"?
