Why set "Finish cleaning when bin is full" to On?

Postby uat75035 » December 8th, 2017, 10:01 am

Hi I am trying understand the logic of the setting "Finish cleaning when bin is full" to ON. By default this setting is set to On and this default setting puzzles me. Why would someone wants the cleaning to continue even the bin is full? Wouldn't the majority of us want it to go back to the base and wait for the bin to be cleaned and resume? It makes no sense to me to continue when bin is full and not picking up any dust/hairs at all. I have this setting toggled to "No" but I am wondering if I am missing something.

Due to the way the bin full sensor operates, the bin is not actually full when the indicator is activated. In theory the Roomba bin still has enough capacity to complete its cleaning cycle then dock.

You do not need to worry about the bin capacity this due to sensors
