Scooba 5900 Not laying down water

Postby poconogal » January 7th, 2018, 3:40 pm

This is the first Scooba I purchased years ago. With the help of forum members Mike Fortuna, Vic, Gordon, to name a few, I was able to get it running. It was purchased used and the pump was not working. A new pump was installed. It was working. It was not used heavily after that yet somehow the pump seems to have stopped working AGAIN. I have not run BITS this time but I do know that I am not hearing the whirring noise first when I press clean. Instead the machine just starts up. After about a minute the check tank light starts flashing, alternating between green and blue. The unit continues to run however. I have primed it with water in the solution inlet and water did come out the bottom. Oh yeah, 1/4 cup white vinegar added to tank water.

So I have three Scoobas, with only one working. So far. This 5900 I think I’m going to just put aside because I do not plan on putting yet another pump in. Hopefully my 380 can get working again and if not I’m down to one.

The robot did it...

Run the Bits to really make sure the water pump is not starting up.
