Easy way to add 1" to Roomba's clearance?

Need to prevent wedging without raising furniture.

Easy! Lower the furniture!
Heh!

You used to be able to buy a "knob" or "horn" to stick on top of the halo sensor on the bumper. It was a bit less than an inch tall, was a slightly rubbery firm but flexible material, was conical from the diameter of the halo, tapering up to a rounded top. The idea is that if this touches something as it is moving it trips the bumper switch(es) turns away. Looks a bit comical, but can sort specific Roomba/furniture conflicts. Of course it may introduce a new conflict with another piece of furniture, but you can trim/tune the height...

I'm sure you could improvise something with this.

Note - I it was a 700/800 series, I'd hesitate because the plastic ring locating the halo in the bumper is very thin and does break from time to time...

I just blocked access under the skirt of one couch by putting some 4x4 boards so the robot couldn't go exploring (which also works to keep a Neato's bumper-less lidar tower from wedging); one could still consider raising the furniture by a bit with some leg glides or furniture moving cups, and then it would be clean under there too.

Thanks! Will try this. Maybe with these, as they are cheaper and there are complaints of the things falling off and getting lost.
