Roomba 655 will not charge - battery light fast blinking

My Roomba was not on the charger for an extended period of time so I put it back on the charger for a day or two, and made sure I saw it light up when on the charger.

I attempted to use it, and it said "please charge Roomba."

I've cleaned the contacts and the battery light fast blinks (about 2x per second) with no other indicators. I can also hear a very light clicking going on (about 4x per second).

Any ideas? I've repeated this a couple of times where I let it charge for a day. Still nothing. I've reset the Roomba as well.

What is the stored battery voltage?

Ready for circuit board repair?
The 655 board is unique.
The charging circuit is simplified from previous models.
VBAT to Q18 to Q17 // Diode to SMPS & Diode to + Charge plate.
Your problem points to the Diode closest to the charging plate, D70? I think, or Q17 or Q18.
I have replaced Q18 on 2 of these boards.
Good luck.

It says 22V/1.25A on the bottom of the Roomba.

How would I know it's a circuit board issue? I wouldn't know how to diagnose that or know which circuit has the issue.
I'm not sure I'm capable of making a circuit board repair without a decent demonstration video. I'm assuming those codes (VBAT, Q17, etc) correspond to certain parts of the circuit board? Is there a diagram somewhere?

I've taken a short video clip of what I see (and hear, which is why I zoom in). Here's a clip on Google Photos:

Remove the battery and check it’s voltage.
It could very well be the battery that’s giving you the problem.

Remove it from the dock and press CLEAN.
What does it do?

I repaired a 500 series Roomba with clicking noise while on homebase and the battery were not charging.
I installed a good fully charged battery. The CLEAN button started pulsing orange and it is not even on the homebase charging. I replaced the D58 diode and it is working (charging) again.

If you don't have a good charged battery, you can charge your battery outside your Roomba in oder to test your Roomba.

How old is your battery? If it is older than 1 - 2 years, you may need a new battery.

It's older. I barely use the Roomba. It's likely a bad battery. I ordered a Tenergy 5200 mAh li-ion battery today. Hopefully it works as well and lasts longer than an OEM.
