How often should I replace filter and brush?

How often you guys replace filter and brush Rommba 650? Mine has been changed for 8 months, not sure if the performance will be affected.

Thanks in advance

Almost never... I should probably replace the filter every six months or so, but I clean it with another vacuum every week and blow it out with compressed air about every month.

I never really noticed any change in performance with my 530, so I never bothered changing the main brushes. The side brush occasionally lost the bristles on one of its arms, so I did replace that one a couple of times.

I just rinse the dirty filter and replace with a dry one.
The main brushes seem to work as well as they always have.
I have replaced a couple side brushes.

thanks! thats what I am thinking. Side brush seems to be easier to wear out, but brush and all other parts seem durable so far.

I replaced my main brushes after about three years. I always wonder about the side brushes since every time you buy some Roomba accessory on Amazon or eBay they come with like, 8 more side brushes. Are people driving these things around cleaning razor blade factories or something?

I never replace the filter, as I just blow it out after every run. I've also never replaced the main brushes. The side brushes wear out faster, so I've replace that once.

I noticed that the i7 side brush is a little cheaper than the 980 and doesn't last long at all

The beater brushes are practically indestructible, but don't forget to check their bushings/bearings occasionally; they and the brush's spindle do wear and develop excess play eventually.

I blow my air filters out with an air compressor regularly. I guess I actually replace them once or twice a year maybe.
