650 Right Wheel Not Moving ERR 10

Postby leonicholson » December 31st, 2018, 8:12 pm

After starting, turns in a constant clockwise circle. If I press either bumper, it tries to turn for an instant, then returns to clockwise circle.

The right wheel (by the side brush) is completely inoperative. After a while, it stops and says "Error 10, move Roomba side wheel to clean".

I checked the wheel by exchanging with a good 595 wheel assembly - same results. Both wheels turn with about the same resistance. The Roomba is very clean.

It seems like the wheel is getting no power at all.

You can assume that the right wheel has a defective component in the H-bridge control circuit. Use the Advanced search for H-Bridge by author a1robotrepair for troubleshooting.

Thanks. Suspected the H-Bridge from posts I have read here in the past.
May play with it for a bit.
No risk, as it is new, was only $40 and came with all the accessories. (Perfect for parts)

Also, long ago in one of your posts:

Motherboard of 500 and 600 series Roomba are interchangeable. I have not worked 600 series motherboard with the WiFi support. I don't know whether they can be used in your Roomba.

Would a 595 motherboard work in a 650?
Neither have WiFi.

I have not swapped that particular model but it should work.
