Battery discrepancy on board vs app

I'm having a strange problem where the app shows a low battery, but the charging indicator shows the roomba is fully charged.

The Roomba then starts a mission, but then returns home shortly after to "recharge", even though it is actually fully charged as shown by the green battery indicator.

I can remove the battery and it does seem to reset things back to normal, but it keeps coming back.

Any ideas what causes this?
