IRobot dirt dog brushes not working on carpet!?

Postby Nichrobe » January 6th, 2019, 7:27 pm

So I got a root dirt on on letgo for 45$ and I ran it trough a diagnostic test and everything works so I put a new battery in it and turned it on it worked fine on the hard floors but when it went onto the carpet it completely stalled the brushes and slowed down the robot and its not a high pile carpet at all its a small looped carpet so if anyone knows what might be wrong with my unit feedback would help!

Your deck height control string may be broken allowing the brush deck to drop down but it can no longer be lifted when a carpet is detected.

There should be no slack in the string when the deck is at rest and all the way down.
