i7 room cleaning oddity

Postby Hazel5511 » May 14th, 2019, 7:49 pm

I've had my i7+ for a couple of weeks. I have successfully mapped the main floor and created labeled specific rooms etc. I'm noticing something really odd. When I send Hazel out to clean an individual room or rooms, she spends about 5 minutes cleaning areas around the home base before setting out to the room she's supposed to clean. Any idea why? I've attached the map image that shows where she cleaned when I asked for the master bathroom to be cleaned.

Thanks!

Maybe she just wants to keep her own home clean before leaving for work.

Probably an unideal location for the home base. If there are obstacles of any sort around it, the bot may be trying to assess its location first. Also, if you pick up the bot for any reason, it has to re-establish which floorplan it is using, in the case that you have multiple. Try relocating the home base to a more open area without any nearby walls, corners, or other obstacles.

Call support and tell them you want the 2.0.9 firmware pushed to your device. Tell them you’re having mapping issues and it’s wondering around needlessly.

2.0.9 is a vast improvement - just had it pushed to both of my i7’s and it’s a night and day difference.
