960 battery

Postby 6sunset6 » May 27th, 2019, 11:43 am

After 1 1/2 years I got a new battery from Roomba. It is now 6 months old and will not hold a charge over night on the docking station. It will charge when it docks , I checked, and the next day when I want to run it it is dead.
Bad cell?

Either a bad cell or possibly a defective power control board within the pack.

Either way it's a dead battery. I put the old one back in ( still have it because Home Depot would not take it for recyle. lucky me) and it works fine.,Now I don't remember why I bought a new one.

Of course. However in the future you may want to consider boosting run time performance by installing a Lithium pack from Lithium Power Inc that is rated at 4400 mAH and can be found on Amazon.com. I run those packs in both my 960 and 980.
