how to run a roomba upside down?

Yes, I know there are cliff sensors and of course I was able to wedge a bic pen to lower the wheels. I tried some tape over the cliff sensors but they are send and receive so I guess some other sort of material should be used.
Also I am working on a 980 model that has noisy rollers, almost new grey rollers. They are making a noise like a bad gear. I had another 980 and to my amazement I switched the entire brush drive assembly and got the same noise. That means it must be those rollers.

Run your 980 more and the noise will eventually quiet down as the extractors set in.

The older Roombas have a self-diagnostic mode that will activate different wheels, the brushes, and so on. Not sure what the process is for your particular model, but you might be able to run it upside-down. :)
