Home depot has roomba red on sale for $99 right now (even though the employees there don't realize it). Don't know when the ad price ends.

Receive 10% off your entire Hammacher Schlemmer online store order:
Coupon Code: BHE798
Expires: August 31, 2005

Since shipping is $28 and the Roomba's $300, this coupon code saves you a little more... especially if you end up buying some other stuff (e.g., extra set of filters, other cool stuff you don't *really* need). :D

I purchased the Roomba Discovery a month ago

Postby johnwick » September 10th, 2005, 7:37 pm

I got it for $219.99 plus 19.95 shipping from Comp-U-Plus.
It has been doing a very good job cleaning the dog and cat hair from the rugs. Today?s cleaning took 1 hour and 15 minutes and it had no problem finding it docking station to recharge. It fills the dust bin in about an hour.
I have no problems with it as long as I clean the brushes and bin after each cleaning.
I had only one time where it got stuck, because the recliner was too close to a lamp stand.

Actually, it is a custom HSN bundle that includes a few less bundled options than the Roomba SE Special edition.

We have it listed here:

http://www.outpost.com has the Roomba 4210 Discovery Robotic Vacuum on sale at $199.99. Direct link is http://shop2.outpost.com/product/428374 ... IN_RSLT_PG

Free ground shipping but they charge tax in TX, CA, GA and other states that I do not have handy at the moment. Total price here in Texas was $216.39.

Oh - they are backordered. If you want it now this is probably not your best bet.

Sorry about that, I guess I wasn't fast enough. I did check before posting it though.

I noticed that they now have the Red at 119.99 but it does not include shipping. I guess, from what little I have heard, that that is still not a great price for a Red. Well, If I see anything else I'll get it on line faster.

The link for this week's deal is http://shop2.outpost.com/product/4354155

Well it's not bad.
The "Find the Best Prices" section has the Roomba Red for $125 plus sales tax in WA and ND... So your find isn't bad.

ecost.com $229 + $1.99 ground shipping for Discovery (not the 2.1)

I know the folks up at iRobot (the coolest company on the planet...Helen ROCKS!) so I' sure they'll take care of me if I help them sell more PackBots... :D

ecost has the discovery scheduler on special verry limited time for $299
with a $50 mail in rebate and $1.98 shipping. As I write this the offer is suposed to be good for about 33 more hours---- on the other hand
this time yesterday it was sceduled to run out in about 4 hours and was extended.

By the way can I run one rommba in my kitchen only and then let another
one take care of the rest of the house? would I need 1 or 2 virtiual walls
in the common doreway?

thanks,

Woody
