iRobot Scooba 230 Review

Well I ordered a new iRobot Scooba 230 for my wife for Christmas.

It arrived early, so we opened it early

You will continue to like it until the time arrives to perform some internal maintenance. That's when you'll discover that it is impossible to dis-assemble. Other than than it's a handy mini machine.

Great review. Sad, that this little robo-baby is not 'repairable'. Other than that - very funny toy!

Is this the case with the Mint? Just purchased the Mintplus.

The Mint looks like it can be taken apart quite easily. I have not had to do that yet. Protechrobotics sells spares.

Although not modular like the later Roomba models, it is fairly easy to disassemble. One thing I learned on a 5200 Mint is do not plug in a mini-USB cable into the Mint and expect to see messages or something. That particular connection does not like the power provided via the USB buss and you wind up with an expensive door stop.

Similar to the Irobot scheduler remote, it sounds like a non-standard USB pinout.
