Neato rear guide wheel mod

Postby vic7767 » November 30th, 2011, 5:11 pm

Although it is obvious that the plastic used in the construction of the two rear guide wheels will probably last through the standard 1 year warranty offered by most retailers, depending upon the cleaning surface the Neato runs on may speed up that wear and cause failure at or just after the warranty expires.

Here is a mod solution to slow down or even stop that wear and tear on those rear guide wheels. The picture is a .gif type so to view both pictures, click on the image.

Cool mod Vic. What did you use to machine the wheel down with?  Due to the shape I can see it being difficult to hold in a lathe.

I don't offer that mod. Too much effort to make the mod which then makes it an expensive mod.

My Neato is coming up on 2 years old and the wheels look new, both inside and out.
