Neato XV-11 Error 4005, HEX code 8055

When starting cleaning the vacuum spins up and down a few times, then says "My Vision was blocked. Please press OKAY (4005)"

When connecting with USB and running these commands:

TestMode On
SetLDSRotation On
GetLDSScan
AngleInDegrees,DistInMM,Intensity,ErrorCodeHEX
0,0,0,8055
1,0,0,8055
2,0,0,8055
3,0,0,8055
4,0,0,8055
... all the way to 359.

Not finding much on the code 8055.

LIDAR is rotating, The laser and sensor are clear, I assume this means I need a new LIDAR unit?

Isn't there a command to read the LIDAR rotation RPM? You should check that.

The output of the GetLDS scan should contain the rpm reading in Hz. Normally the digit seen in the output is the digit "5" which results in 5 x 60 Hz = 300 rpm.

"360 output lines of LDS Scan Angle, Distance code in MM, normalized spot intensity,
and error code. Followed by 2 status variable pairs. Example:
AngleInDegrees,DistInMM,Intensity,ErrorCodeHEX 0,221,1400,0 1,223,1396,0
2,228,1273,0 (. . .) 359,220,1421,0 ROTATION_SPEED (in Hz, Floating Point),5.00

At the bottom of the output it does contain:
ROTATION_SPEED,5.09

Running it a few times it varies between 4.99 (4 times) and 5.09 (once)

Your Lidar appears to be within rpm specs so you might suspect other components on the Lidar unit are defective.
