Hi all

Looking for cheaper solution than a 70€ spare lcd board on ebay, I found this awesome topic.

I plan to use FCP40-to-DIP40 and ERC128128FS lcd from buydisplay.

Is the following solution correct or does it need some reverted order, as Tris suggested ?

Hi guys,
I fried my Neato XV-21 LCD screen trying to remove one of the many stripped screws.
Fortunately I have an older model XV-11 that I also fried replacing the old ribbon, so I use it for parts.
My question:
How do I safely remove the LCD screen from the old XV-11 and use it in the XV-21? I already removed it the board, but LCD seems to be glued solid.
Any suggestions?
All this came about from trying to get to the bottom of the infamous
"My vision is blocked error 3000" Does it matter if the replacement little motor guy is 12V instead of the 16V that it comes with? Have not been able to locate one that size with 16V
THANK YOU!

Lidar motor in thread http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=17034&p=143067&hilit=vision+blocked#p143067
Some replacements also available from Vic7767 at https://www.vic7767.com/neato-and-botvac-lidar-replacement-motor/
Many nominal 12v motors also operate at higher voltages, especially under pulse modulation speed control.

I do not know about the LCD except that if something is glued on, break the glue with a knife. Why not just move the entire PCB -- different cables? Caution whether the LCD is compatible.

[edit] Voltage regulator components supply levels different than the battery voltage for various components, such as 5v common with digital items, and 3v for some cpu's. The highest voltage is for the most powerful drive and brush motors.

The Lidar motor that spins the Turret around is rated at 3 to 6 volts.
