Hi folks. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement dock for an old D85? I used the (second-hand) bot for about 6 months, and then it decided to stop charging when it was on the dock. Everything else on the bot seems to be working fine, and connecting it to the PC app doesn't seem to show any issues or weird results. It's just that when placed on the dock it doesn't charge.
I am having trouble sourcing a new dock in the UK, does anyone have any good places to find them? Otherwise I might have to bite the bullet and order one shipped from the US
Thanks, I'll add that to my search list. Those ones are also currently only on eBay from the US though, so they're $70, plus $30 postage, plus $30 import tax
At this rate, might have to chalk it up as £200 wasted on a duff experiment
How much did you paid for your used Botvac? It may be cheaper to get another used Botvac. Then, you have a parts donor. You can sell individual parts to lower your cost.
It was £235, and it appeared to be in pretty good condition. Original box, all original packaging, all the spare brushes and stuff. I doubt I'll be able to justify spending another £200+ with the missus
Examine the charging voltage and currents with the Neato Control program over USB before concluding the dock is at fault. Is there voltage on the plates? Maybe the battery is faulty, or the system board. Not a lot of docks reported defective -- pretty simple part. There is an IC for battery fuel gauge in the Botvac some users had to replace, see Mods & Repairs main page.
