New Neato D5 Connected

Postby atomboy1 » November 29th, 2017, 5:29 pm

I am having trouble setup my new Neato D5. I place the unit on the charging base for several hours and it will not power up. There is no indication the unit is charging. That is to say, the battery LED is not on. I have gone through two D5 units with the same results. Obviously, I must be missing something very simple. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't have a D5, but on prior models, there is an on/off switch located in the dustbin area. Does the D5 have one, and have you turned it on?

The D5 does not have off/on switch.

When I received my new D5 it was not reacting for anything when unboxed, but once put on charger it gets alive. Immediately when put on charger it started to blink and after few seconds I heard that neato boot sound and it was charging so if you are unable to power them on on charger I think they are defective.

Open the battery case and make sure battery is connected (This was a problem on earlier Neatos)

Double check all charger connections. Neato has had previous problems with the charger connections not being secure when delivered.
