Neato BotVac Connected - small lidar motor?

Postby DaveMM » February 14th, 2018, 6:06 am

I just bought an second hand Neato BotVac Connected in pretty good condition but there is a vision error... Turret motor doesn't spin. I think is a little one, smaller than one in XV and Botvac. Do you know the tech spec of it? Or where I can get it? Thanks

Hey Dave. You can pick up the smaller Lidar motor from a website that was posted in an older topic. https://www.vic7767.com/neato-and-botva ... ent-motor/
It looks like this guy has both types with and without the longer power leads. I know the BotVac connected uses the longer leads to connect to the mainboard at the front of the vacuum.

There is no need to spent $20 on Neato connected, D3, D5 motors from www.vic7767.com. Those are common motors you can find on eBay for about $1.20. Just remember Neato uses reverse polarity to get counter clockwise rotation, so you connect replacement motor' black to red and red to black wire to get the right rotation direction. Look for "Mabuchi RF-300FA-12350 Mini Tray Motor Spindle Motor DC 5.9V for CD DVD Player" - that is a direct OEM replacement.

The reason for the $20 is that I include a spliced power cable with power connector to the main circuit board. This cable is longer than the Neato XV models.
