D7 Lidar Replacement

Post by Aoifem »

Hi all,

I have a D7 with a 3000 error and have a new motor to replace the LiDAR motor.

I got as far as getting the motor out of its position, but now I can’t figure out how to get access to the circuit board to connect it….

Do I need to pull the LiDAR unit away from the circuit board, leaving all wires attached? I’m afraid I’m going to damage it….

Any tips appreciated, can’t see anyone doing this on any videos on the D7.

Well I fixed my motor issue….. but in the process I think I broke something…

The d7 isn’t navigating well now, it’s changing direction constantly and trying to reverse into the kitchen units.

I did open the LiDAR unit in error when trying to replace the motor , wondering if I did something to it. Any suggestions of what I could check?

it's been more than a year, i hope everything is ok?
If not, then this is a known problem, the lidar motor rotates the other way. That's right - you need to go against the clock! Solving the problem: swap the motor contacts ;)
