neato D6: unable to fix "Dust me off" message

Post by serbring »

Hi all,

I have a Neato D6 (it is quite dated but so far it worked fine) which provides me the message "dust me off". I tried to clean the sensors as suggested in Neato's FAQ but the message is still there. When I press a button for cleaning, the robot starts the cleaning procedure but it stops after around a minute. What else should I do?

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried cleaning the actual LIDAR sensor? Spinny disk under the part that sticks out the top. Try to use some Q-Tips and get in the LASR out and LASER in holes. If that does not work it’s something to do with an internal factor or Software issue. Hope this helps.

I already tried with a dry q-tip. Maybe, I should try with a little amount of detergent...
