Powerbot Bookcase Trap

With a new bookcase the Powerbot 9250 stopped on an error when turning into the bottom lacking a kick plate. The bumper sensor is a thin strip across the front below the point of contact. Usually stalling the wheels in such contacts omitting bumper sense works as a substitute, but appears not in this case of turning into the bump. The dark color wood defeats the IR proximity sensors which often cover the case.
Similar problems were found with Neato robots under thread "Overhead Pinch Trap", worse there for lack of the IR sensors on the Powerbot.
It is harder to modify the Powerbot bumber than the larger Neato bumper, so it is best here to add a kick plate to the bottom of the book case, cover the bottom opening, engaging the bumper, which can even be done with cardboard with suitable paint from craft store (convenient little bottles).

This is another example where the vacuum robots do not work with all furniture in all floor plans, and need testing if customers require them to work without additional prep or modification.
