Best robot for a single bedroom?

Postby drunkpenguin » December 18th, 2016, 3:26 pm

I love our roomba 880, it does a great job in the main part of the house. Im thinking about getting another robot for full time master bedroom duty, but im thinking about a cheaper option since the coverage area is much smaller. Any suggestions that i should look at? My only requirement would be auto docking and scheduling. The room is all hardwood floors and tile.

You might consider getting the iRobot Create2. Then add the missing modules like (CHM, Dust Bin, and Side Brush). The Create2 is a Roomba 650 and is only $199. There is another version of the Create2 that has an additional 3D view accessory for $299.

Roomba 650 is a good deal. I had 620 and now I have 870. I don't see ANY difference, beside 870 extractors are easier to clean, nothing else. In my opinion not worth the price. So I would go with 650.

Roomba quite expensive. And so to say too much expensive for a single bedroom.
eufy 11 should handle these. And it sells with a great discount on amazon.

How are Eufy's compared to Roomba's though? Are they comparable in quality?

The thing to keep in the back of your mind is how easy is your robot to repair. Are there diagnostics available to identify marginal or failing parts? Are there replaceable parts available. Is the robot easy to dis-assemble and replace modular components?

Exactly! With the cheapies, nobody is fixing them, so nobody is buying parts, so nobody is selling them...
