How to use gyro on Turtlebot Power and Sensor Board?

I have a Turtlebot Power and Sensor Board (http://store.iheartengineering.com/Turt ... B005CDNI9U) to power my Kinect on an iRobot Create. But it also has a gyro on it. My question is how do I access the info on that gyro? Am I able to do so through the Create's open interface? Has anyone done this before? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, the gyro is connected to the create's analog input. You can use the SCI to read packet 33 which contains the 10 bit ADC value.
