Extending functionality

I've seen a lot of interesting posts about bluetooth communications and rootooth, and all these exciting hacks. With a decent mobile robot platform already in your possession through the roomba/scooba/create, is there any interest in commercially-available, user-friendly add-ons that extend functionality/behavior? For example, is wifi connectivity and all the hardware/software for remote telepresence or surveillance an attractive feature?

I've been using my roomba for hacking purposes for a while now and thought this may be an interesting added value for those of us with older or extra systems, or even an expansion of vacuuming duties.
