Technically it will work, however, it is a class 2 bluetooth device that can work up to 10 meters (33 feet) Most Roomba hackers prefer the class 1 bluetooth that will work up to 100 meters (330 feet).

In real life the class 2 bluetooth rarely gets to 33 feet. I think that figure is line of sight with no walls or other objects blocking the signal.

Yes... I tried the class 2 first and only got about 15 feet marginally.
I upgraded to the bluesmrf gold (class1) from sparkfun and a class 1 dongle, and still can only get about 30-40 feet, but I can live with that.
