anyone had any luck setting their msp430g2231 to talk to a series 500 roomba?

is it really 19200 the minimum baud i can get it to talk?

You can go all the way down to 300 baud (per the SCI) manual but to get it there you need to send a command at 19200 baud. Some of the code I have seen tries the baud rate change command multiple times in the hope that it is succesful. I assume your MCU has trouble at 19200?
