Join me in Paraguay in Febuary and leave the snow and ice behind.
Cool beans Ed! What's the range on that setup.
After pushing my lawnmower for 1 1/2 hours today, heat index of 110, I'm thinking of building a remote control lawnmower. I have a cheep little drone I was thinking of adapting but wiring it up would be challenging. An old R3 would make life much easier. I would have to write an app for it to work like a WCC. New project on the horizon.
Do you have any further info posted here or on your website?
Hope all is well with you and yours.

Not sure of the WiFi range on that device but it does have a mini antenna connected to it. Here in the shop it works better than a class 1 bluetooth (100 meters).

There is more info on my web sites under Roomba hacking.

Here's a URL to a 40 volt remote controlled robotic lawnmower: http://www.ez-robot.com/Community/Forum ... eadId=9297

Good, one more dude with the same model. We'll see if you have any luck adding schedule to yours after you get the serial communication working. If you are not located in the US/Canada you cant order the official Create 2 cable. I built mine with the FLT friend by Adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/product/284).

Btw, do you other guys that ain't noobs in robot hacking - think it might be my connection with the FLT friend that is not working properly? I think it's correct since i can collect all sensor data, control my robot and send all other commands but the scheduling command.

Robotrepair, I will try to do it exaclty as you have posted but I think I have allready covered that sequence.
Anyhow, I've haven't had time to play more with my roomba but i did take another picture after sending the scheduling command the last time I tried. This pic is taken in direclty after the other pics i posted:

Realterm After sending.PNG

Is i possible to se what I'm sending instead of getting that unreadable text when sending? Some settings in the display window in Realterm.

There are WIndows software which can monitor the raw traffic in/out of serial port. Some are free. Google "windows monitor serial port".

I went thru the pictures of your settings and can find nothing wrong. There was a recent post of a new 650 that wouldn't hold its time along with other problems. This one: http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19412 It should be a piece of cake! One last thing to try. Delete and reload RealTerm or try a different terminal emulator program.
I do not get the scrambled characters after sending a code, more precise, I get no return on screen.
It appears that the baud rate is changing.

Well thanks for the patience and the time spent in this thread guys. Saldy, I have to conclude that roomba 620 is not accepting scheduling commands at this time. I have tried everything - and everything works - except the scheduling commands. If someone ever solves the 620 scheduling at a year 2016 model - please write in this thread!

Peace out!

Trade? Message me. 530 R8 or 540 R8 2012 firmware that will take scheduling, the 540 with a WCC or SCI and lighthouse function.

Does this still work with Roomba 620? With the newest updates. I really want mine to have the scheduling feature.

No one has updated this thread with any success or failure of scheduling the 620. Best thing to do is just attempt to schedule your 620 via the SCI and post your results here in this thread.
