LG Hom-Bot 3.0 VR1229RB announced

New LG Hom-Bot 3.0 VR1229RB just show up.

Major differencies between 2.0

* improved mapping camera (now will better work in dark places),
* square shape and longer side brushes (Corner Master; +1.5cm) have to enable better corner cleaning,
* bigger dustbin capacity (~0.6L),
* turbo mode (30% more suction), smart turbo mode (auto carpet sensing), max mode (2x running over the same space), my space (you can choose the space to be cleaned - using IR remote control to drive it around the area to be cleaned) and voice guide mode (language depends on the country of destination),
* "better" overall cleaning performance in compare to VR1129RB (Hom-Bot 2.0, rounded one),
* greater surface of HEPA H11,
* greater surface of dry-dust mop pad,
* more robust power brush (designed especially for carpets) and side brushes (~1.5cm longer) for better cleaning on carpets and in corners,
* ability to climb up to 1.5cm (carpets/thresholds),

There will be three models in total (Europe).

Price: €300-700 (depends on available features)

Moreover, LG plans to release new, "budget-friendly" robot (rounded; similar in shape to 2.0 series) designed for cleaning hard floors.

Not really. They announced Hom-Bot 3.0 ("Square") to be available in Europe this Winter. Also, the korean version is named RoboKing, instead of Hom-Bot.

**i mean like, they havent even brought out 617x & 618x series with the wifi+ streaming video camera models out in english yet. At least not in Australia (except for 6170, but has no such features.. its like the basic model of that generation). And those robokings have been out for some time now.

Really you have this one? Cool! Could you make some videos? If you have any other robots can you compare them against it, and make a small mess and see which one is better at picking it up? I really want to see the turbo mode on this robot. Thanks.

Bug on Cell by Cell mode. Robot not going to all rooms if there is a narrow space.

Back from LG support, Monick-A (the robot's name) is doing great ! Many problems resolved, celll by cell zone have a weird behavior but now succeed to clean everywhere. I think that a firmware upgrade was made (several french and german users confirmed this)

Everything was cleared in the rooms for the next video, but i will post others later with some more obstacles.
