1st time buyer here and we just bought a shark EQ from Costco and never got beyond opening the box, I tried to register through their software and it told me that it was having problems so call this number . I did and she couldn't tell me why. In addition I asked about setting room or object boundaries. The particular model that I had did not permit it through Software. I had to purchase some kludged devices that had a wind up ribbon that did the exclusion. I didn't like it so we returned it.
Soooooo,
are there any that can do exclusion mapping in software that don't cost an arm and a leg, say $500.00 ?
The house is a mix of hardwood and carpets.

I believe all of these fit your criteria (mapping, hardwood, and carpets):

Costco now has a Shark Matrix for $300 until 2/25/24. Pretty good reviews. I’m seriously considering it despite owning an old Neato and an ancient Roomba.
