These might save on buying large pieces of sheet metal. Just tape to the board, or maybe zip tie, glue.
2 in. Zinc-Plated Mending Plate (4-Pack) (also in brass finish)

Put tape over side facing board for insulation.

Also consider a large flat washer, the kind with a small hole.

To identify the signal leads you must see which one is not affected by applying a magnet (or moving into the problem spot in the room).

Good call, thanks! I'll give this a shot and report back.

THANK YOU ALL!

Just tested with these plates mounted over the sensors and the bot was happy as a clam. Now I just have to find a way to fit them back into the enclosure... Or otherwise make it pretty.

Could a ceiling fan in the floor below be causing the interference? Pretty heavy motors. Or maybe a ceiling mounted loudspeaker (some of which are shielded just for such effects, maybe not all; they have a large permanent magnet in which a coil moves the cone).

Is this the only solution to the problem?

I don’t dare taking the machine apart like that, is there no way of shielding from the outside or from inside the bottom plastic plate?

I have the same problem. I tried putting iron sheets beneath the sensors but it does not work for me.It still avoids the high magnetic field spots in the apartment and sometimes says error 11. If i wrap the whole sensor in metal sheet, the robot starts to rotate and after 5 times it gives up and says error 11.

I think that these sensors are used not only for the magnetic strip, but also for compass orientation.

I start to think that a software solution may fix the problem, but i don't know is there any opened sources of the firmware so i can mess with it.

I had the same problem, I put an metal sheet (using alluminium paper) and it did not solve the issue.

The problem was caused by the following: I opened the Roborock to clean, I disassembled the brush engine to clean and lubricate. If you don't dismount it entirely it will fit just in one way, but if you dismount it entirely then you can end up mounting it with inverted polarity.

My issues was caused by the inverted BRUSH ENGINE. The Roborock still worked, brush was rotating the wrong way (I did not perceive it), and it was causing this ERROR 11. After correcting the engine polarity the Roborock came back to live, no more error 11.

May I note that the robot was indeed saying error 11 in areas of high magnetic values in my apartament, I measured it with my smartphone, so indeed there was something.

So, I recommend:
- Check if you didn't invert your brush engine polarity (if you have manipulated it)
- I suspect that a bad brush engine could cause the same issue, so it might be worth trying to replace it.

Found it. It was motor under small brush. I changed orientation and error is gone. Thank you very much.

Hello,
I would appreciate if you have any pictures of how to change the polarity of this brush Engine. I have an old Xiaomi and have been using it on a small part of my apartment because it always gets an error11.
Thank you
