Thoughts?

also - what accessories did you get?

To confirm that XV-11 works on 110-240V look at the official Neato FaceBook site http://www.facebook.com/NeatoRobotics It will work in Europe and Australia without any problems! :D

There are re-shippers that you might find via the internet that provide you with a USA address and when you order with that address the re-shipper will then forward the item to you. There is a fee of course and be careful whom you select.

dj_siek wrote:I think ill use them. You're right, service is excellent (i've dealt with them before). I'm not sure about accessories though.. neato advertise the spare batteries on the site as ":and later you may need some accessories ": how long do they expect the batteries to last I wonder?

If the Neato cleaned for one cycle a day for a year that would be 365 cycles on the batteries, well within their rated lifetime. However the brush blades, squeegee, and filter are consumable items with lifetimes dependent on usage. As the saying goes: Your mileage may vary.

All Neatos have the same specifications. People handling customer service only know what their databases tell them. Sometimes they draw conclusions when they shouldn't.

@neato

International sellers (like e.g. RobotShop.com) stoped shipping this product outside US, telling that it is because Neato Inc. don't want to sell it outside. Is it true?

I have one more question to the first of the above videos. This men said that Neato XV-11 is as strong as Dyson vacuum. That's true?

rofl. Here's a farfetched thought. How about a hack which turns the Neato into a security sentry. Powers up it's laser to 30x and starts firing on unauthorised entry into the house. :lol: Don't the South Koreans have something like this on the DMZ? Then we'd get a cleaner and a security system to boot!

@neato

According to what you say on FaceBook http://www.facebook.com/NeatoRobotics, when you start to ship internationally did you adjust the power plug to other countries (e.g. european power plug) or just we will need an adapter?

Neato could tell you about future designs, but then we would have to power up the {Dr. Evil} “L. A. S. E. R. beam” and hurt you ;)

I'd like to see a Scooba competitor from Neato, imagine having them parked side by side with the XV-11 vacuuming your floors daily and the Neato Wet cleaner mopping your floor weekly - that would be Heaven!! :cheers:
