Identifying a Roomba

Postby Chamonix » June 16th, 2010, 4:57 am

I need to replace the battery on my Roomba but I cannot identify which model it is. The only id on the machine is Roomba XE, which I can't find on the site. There are batteries availaible for 4*** and 5** models, but can anyone tell me what is the model number for this machine - and which battery fits it?

I may be wrong, but it appears that XE is Roomba Discovery XE model. See if the pics on this page looks like your model. If so, battery and other replacement parts are listed.

Another way is to flip the roomba over. If you can see the battery and release tabs it is a 400 series, if not it is a 500 series.

if you can see the usaly yellow battery in the xe all toy need is the 400 series battery with the "tounge" on one side where the eletric pickups are you will see them in pictures on the internet as well as the internet saying 400 series battery but that is how you identify the differance
hope this helps
