Are you putting a generic motherboard in it?

I always liked that case design.

I am putting a micro atx motherboard in it. I have removed all of the old stuff from the inside, except for the CD drive. I am going to replace the zip drive with some usb ports and audio jacks. I got some new screw in motherboard offsets that I will use to mount the new motherboard, as it does not line up with the old mac motherboard offsets.

I also will put a new powersupply in mounted to the door next to the motherboard.

I found an old core 2 duo motherboard that I will be using

Here is what it looked like to start with.

the one I have was very scratched up though. That is one reason I painted it.

I took home a PowerMac G5 in June 2010. VP signed the property pass as "no value to the company." I need to fire that baby up! I also took home a Mac Classic and still have a Quadra at work. There I am known as the vintage computer guy :)

Amazing the power you can get on a small motherboard these days. I am running a Gigabyte GA-G31 micro-atx based computer. Easy build and plenty of features. I have also built a couple Atom based Mini-ITX machines.
