Hi all,
I got one of these Eufy R500 machines as it's a lot cheaper than most, which I consider to be too expensive for what they are.
It seems to me that the algorithm, which is based on bump and go plus random patterns, is pretty crap and pretty much guarantees that it will miss large parts of the apartment or room that it's in.
I'm wondering if anyone has broken into this device and upgraded it's firmware, or wifi enabled it to allow for remote control by a smarter program.
The hardware seems pretty good, and I think it would be a great little machine if only had the possibility for better software.
eufy or other vac hacks?

Even the most basic non navigating Roomba has some "situational awareness" (for want of a better description) and is able to change behaviours accordingly.
Good news is WHEN you relent and put that one in the bin and get something decent, you'll be in a better position than a complete n00b to see the betterness...
