Hi Serge_ISA!

I need some help! Could you please tell me what does the resistor in blue on the picture reads?? I know that it ends by XXXR9. I broke it, and it could be the reason why my motherboard is no longer active (I dont think so, but dreaming is free).. Thanks!

Hi!
This resistor marked as 90R9 - 90,9 Om.

PS: I updated my photo with connectors pinout.
PPS: My Scooba has learned to ride with new selfmade controller.

Hi!
I again updated image with connector pinout on page 3.
Only two connectors remained unknown - 3-pin nearby Pumping_motor_connector and 2-pin nearby Speaker_connector.
Speaker connector marked on PCB as "CTF / Speaker".
Does anyone know what the sensor is called "CTF"?

CTF? Sure it's not CTE? That would be Clean Tank Empty sensor

Right! "CTE"! Thanks!

IMHO this is "Robot lifted" (I do not know how to say) or IR-sensor for Virtual_Wall detected.

--There are no wheel drop sensors on the 230. It uses the cliff detectors for that.

The IR sensor used for the Virtual walls, does have three wires though if I remember right. Part of the goal was to delete as many sensors as possible for this product.

So you have:

(2X) bumper switches
(3X) Cliff
(1X) RCON sensor
(1X) CTE sensor

No wheel encoders, no wheel drop switches, no dirty tank full sensor....

So if you have identified all of the power outputs such as wheels, charging, pump, fan, speaker etc, and only worried about sensors, then the one remaining sensor is the VW/RCON sensor.

You're right - it's probably the VW/RCON sensors connector. Maybe you know pinout/shematics of this sensor?
(One of 3 pin of this connector connected to + of big capacity).

This is most likely correct, but one thing bothers me. On the left wheel has a steel rod (look at the photos).
It passes into the tank. Maybe it opens and closes the clear_water_valve?

It opens/closes the vacuum impeller compartment.

As Piozkrza says...

This Rod simultaneously opens / closes 3 ports. One over each tube leading up from the squeegee compartment, and a third over the fan.

That way as soon as you lift the robot, the dirty tank inputs are closed.

Also...

No water valve needed. The peristaltic pump only flows when energized, so it doesn't need any valves.

Last update for connectors pinout on page 3 - http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewto ... 88#p124488

Summary for sensors:

3 x Cliff IR-sensors
1 x Wall IR-sensor
1 x Clear_Tank_Empty sensor
1 x Virtual_Wall/RCON IR-sensor
1 x Battery temperature sensor
And additional sensors:
1 x Pumping_Rotate_Speed (hercon on PCB + magnet on pump rotor)
1 x unknow strange optic sensor on PCB

I plan to finish in a week. Apparently it is better to open a new topic?

I thought there was no VW sensor, but cliff sensors had 'mirrors' or other 'lenses' directed to upper part of the bumper...at least, when I (finally) disassembled the bumper from 230's body, I did not noticed any sensor in its upper area (where VWs window is located).

Also, Scooba 230 has probably some type of clean water sensor (because of 'Error no. 1' - clean water tank is empty)

VW sensor is built into the top of the robot, and the edge of the top light pipes the signal to it.

And yes, CTE sensor.

IMHO, save yourself some aggravation and pick uo a 300 model Scooba. At least when it breaks you have some maintenance options available that will allow you to disassemble it and make repairs.

I have scooba 380 and another scooba 230 :P
I'm looking for some way to disassemble and make minor damage possible

my scooba 230 is perfectly functional except for the tank... is really sad to throw it away

Welcome to the 230 club. It has been suggested that possibly the use of some liquid epoxy or rubber sealer might be able to seal a broken 230 bladder.
