What gender are your robots?

Post by bs03 »

I refer to most of my cleaning robots in the masculine. My husband bought me my first Roomba so that he didn't have to vacuum. I'm sure that's silly but that's why they are male.
Then we got a Braava which should be feminine (bravo is masculine) but I end up calling it "it". Now I know that is even sillier.

So I was wondering what other people do. If you have multiples, are they all the same?

Only my original Roomba has a name: "Aunty Jo" - the reason is not "family friendly" but it involves pubes and a 'Brazilian' (no, the umm, "hairstyle")...

I never named mine, not really. I just refer to each of them as he/him.

Well, I guess they have sort of nicknames to tell them apart.
Old Roomba or First Roomba or original
Green Roomba
Cats Roomba
Upstairs Rydis or Old Rydis
Downstairs Rydis or New Rydis
Scooba (only needed one)
and now the Braava

So more like designations than names.

By the way all of these work, mostly. My Original needs a new wheel and my Sage needs a new battery. The others are running.
