I have Neato Botvac D75 for 6 years already and I was pretty happy with it.
Last year it died
It constantly shows "Oops how embarrasing, please press Okay, 0001" error. I tried to replace battery but it didn't help.
I tried Neato Control and it looks like all the sensors and engine works fine: it moves, scans area, etc.
I disassembled it and visually checked mainboard and all the components: looks good to me.
Finally, I tried to go easy way: I sent it to LetMeRepair Spain by suggestion of Neato technical support, they asked 170 euro, kept robot for 3 months and finally returned with resolution "can't fix", before this they told me that they may be able to fix it by changing mainboard. But I don't know if they tried it or not. I bet they just did nothing.
I googled a bit this forum and found that this error could be connected to mainboard firmware failure and can't be fixed without replacing mainboard.
Is this true?
Any suggestions on next steps?
