Samsung VR9000 - Doesn't work.

Hello everyone

I have a problem with my Powerbot vr9000.
It was working fine for over two years but now it doesn't won't to work at all. When I place it on the dock green charging led goes on, battery is charging to 3 bars. But when I try to click any button or remote, nothing happens.
Only response which I get is when I restart it with ON/OFF button. Than when I press START button display shows numbers from 5555 to 0000 and than goes off. Only thing which stays on is a led on the base and battery status.

Do you know what might be the problem?

Possibly the battery. Measure the stored battery voltage (should be 13 to 14 vdc. Apply a 2 amp load to the battery and see how long the battery remains above 12 vdc.

Correct, my mind wandered into Botvac land for a moment.

To rule out the pack that is presently storing 23.6 vdc being able to provide dc power to the VR9000 can still be tested using an artificial load of about 2 amps using a 24vdc lamp. Use a VM and watch for a quick voltage drop from 23.6 to 16 vdc or possibly lower.

If not the pack then there may be a circuit board component that cannot detect the battery.

Hello Dave I had same problem with mine few days ago, I haven’t used for a month till couple days ago I tried and it didn’t turn on as normal.now it looks exactly what you experienced, I found a trick is press and hold the home bottom on remote will somewhat trigger the main screen, but it’s not normal, sensor won’t work and machine goes few seconds then shut off, today I tried remote trick again the main screen finally came on normal but gave me an error code c02 which means right wheel is not working,but screen at least shows normal with auto icon etc. and I am able to touch the icon and it gives normal feedback sound.

Can you tell me how is yours doing now

Hello, I know this is an old thread. I've been able to dissassemble my unit using this thread.

I am now having an issue where the unit won't turn on. Or rather when on the charger it turns on/off every second until staying off. It will not turn on if not on the charger. I've replaced the battery and tested a working unit on the charger and both appear to be fine.

Anyone have any ideas/ experience with this by chance?
